Integrative Biology Degree Overview

The Integrative Biology (IB) degree is a major option for the Biological Sciences side of the LSBE program. This degree is offered through the College of Letters and Science. The IB department's broad range of experts includes behaviorists, ecologists, evolutionary biologists, geneticists, morphologists, paleontologists, physiologists, and systematists. Through the LSBE program, this degree will be fulfilled simultaneously with a Business Administration degree. 

The IB major focuses on investigating ecology and environmental sciences, or whole-organism biology, including the study of genetic, cellular, and morphological processes in animals and plants.There are two emphases within the major: 

  • Ecology, Evolution & Organismal Biology

  • Integrative Human Biology
